Our Story
We are small Hobby Breeders of Miniature and Toy Australian Shepherds Located near Sacramento, CA. I have been involved in the Australian shepherd breed for many years having Standards and Mini Sized Aussies as pets and family companions. A few years ago I was in search of another Aussi companion for my Senior citizen Mini Aussi “Sterling” and came across the toy Aussi . I quickly became completely fascinated and excited about the idea of the smaller size Aussi that has the same looks and attributes of the standard Aussies. I began to realize maybe I didn’t need one new pup but two. I purchased my first beautiful Girl Miss Abbi and realized how much I truly was in love with the Toy Aussie, and so was my family and extended family after meeting “Miss Abbi”. Me and my husband discussed it and we decided we would begin a new adventure. We would open up our own kennel and start breeding Toy/mini Australian shepherds. So with the help of our daughter, my husband and a wonderful breeder in Mulino Oregon who offered amazing information and guidance, I began to start breeding. It has been such a wonderful adventure. We took our first dogs to Minnesota for the TASSA show in 2009 and did very well bringing home many ribbons. We have been learning more and improving our program ever since.
We have a total of three breeding gals and two males that come from championship blood lines. We pride ourselves in having top quality dogs with amazingly large personalities as well as being registered with N.A.M.A.S.CU.S.A, A.S.D.R, and going AKC. All of our dogs live in our home as part of our family, and they get along amazingly well with our two cats. We own and operate our company Scott House Movers Inc. from our home office, the dogs are in the office on a daily basis with myself, the kids, and customers.
Our Dogs are great quality and as a breeder it is important for me to be aware of any disease that might affect the breed. Therefor we test all our dogs for PRA/PRCD, CEA, MDR1, HIPS AND EYE CERT these tests are to identify inheritable adverse conditions within the breed. We breed only healthy dogs who will pass along the positive attributes to the breed assuring structure, temperament, form and function.
